There once was a princess locked in a tower. It's a cliché tale but it was true and believe it or not more common than most people know. The princess had heard such stories when she was a child always wondering why the foolish princesses didn't try to help themselves. "I would escape!" This princess had thought. "I would fight and scream, and I would never give up, until the day I could be free and no longer be like a helpless pup." Like, most stories there was a dragon guarding this castle making sure the princess could never leave. The few times she tried to escape the dragon would heave and heave until fire came out and it would burn everything! From drapes to chairs, to sour grapes and pears that sat on the dinner table downstairs. The fire would sometimes burn her here and there. From fear of the fire she would spend most of her days lounging around or even sometimes looking out the window just to stare. The dragon was both noisy and silent and his temper most violent. With cold stares and too many cares he would NEVER, EVER let this princess be.
While this princess could try and be sneaky there was a catch to this whole thing that was a bit freaky. The dragon had something of hers that was very important. The beast had her heart, and not in the romantic way, for her heart was still pumping, bumping, gushing, and thumping. Now, the princess understood why it was so hard for others in her situation to just escape and to run somewhere very far. This princess had survived corrupt kings, evil witches, trolls, and even monkeys on wings but never had she endured a dragon that could control her as if she had strings. The princess doesn't want anyone to save her or to pity her; no she has too much pride for that. But, understanding what others had complained about she feels a little less noble and when someone has your heart she knew that you became immobile.
